The specific Case Study incorporates the deployment, parameterization and operation of a chatbot that utilizes the two most significant governmental knowledge sources:

Mitos.gov.gr, a platform providing information on public services and administrative processes and
Gov.gr, the official portal of the Greek Government, offering access to a wide range of government services.

The Ministry of Digital Governance embarked on an ambitious project to revolutionize how citizens access government services and information, having recognized the potential of AI. This initiative aimed to make government services more accessible, efficient, and user-friendly, leveraging the vast information reservoirs of mitos.gov.gr and gov.gr.

The objectives of the endeavor are presented below:

Enhance Accessibility:
Provide 24/7 access to governmental services and information, making them more accessible to all citizens, including those with disabilities
Improve User Experience:
Utilize natural language processing (NLP) to offer a conversational interface that can understand and respond to user inquiries in a natural, intuitive manner
Ensure Scalability:
Create a solution capable of handling a large number of inquiries simultaneously, without compromising response quality or speed

Language and Localization:
to ensure that the chatbot could understand and respond accurately in Greek, considering the complexity of the language
Data Privacy:
to implement robust data protection measures to safeguard sensitive information processed by the chatbot
LLM Security:
to create a solid prompt so as to ensure chatbot’s resilience against hacking attempts that could lead to to malicious behavior
User Adoption:
to encourage Greek (and not only) citizens to use the chatbot as a primary source of information concerning governmental services, overcoming skepticism towards AI
